APA Plus Expenses - Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA)

In addition to the charter fee, some yachts will also ask to pay an APA of 25-30% of the charter fee.  This is given to the yacht in cash before your charter to allow the captain to buy fuel and provision the yacht as per your demands.  At the end of the charter, the captain will produce full accounts of all expenditures.  You will either be refunded any money not used or asked to pay any additional costs not covered by the APA.  It doesn’t apply to all charter boats, only when it is specified by the yacht.

Can I charter a yacht for less than 7 nights?

Yes, you can. Boats have a minimum of 5 nights

What are the standards on gratitude?

Gratitude the charterer leaves crew gratuities at his discretion. Caribbean tipping guideline is 15% of the charter fee scaled up or down depending on client satisfaction.

Travel Insurance Travel insurance is advised to our clients of flight delays and other events that the charter yacht agreement doesn’t cover.

What is Inclusive?

Inclusive typically means Captain, professional chef, 3 meals each day with wine, full ships bar, water toys, and all on deck amenities.
Not Included: Vintage/exceptional requested wines, champagne, dockage, communication, crew gratuity.
Half Board rates Include all Breakfasts, 3 Lunches, and 3 Dinners. Remaining meals to be taken off the yacht at guest expense, I think this could be an excellent option to take, as you will have free time to enjoy the island vibes and happy arrrhours.

When are check-in and check-out on a yacht charter?

Typically, the boat will be hired from 12:00 pm first day to 12:00 pm on the last day, otherwise specified on the contract.

Can I spend the night before my charter starts on board the yacht?

Yes, you can. It has an extra cost, usually the rate of a night of the charter cost.

Discounts and pricing

All rates are for the entire yacht and are subject to change without notice before actual reservation. An additional premium may be applied for Holiday Periods such as Christmas and New Year. Discounts and pricing may change and cannot be guaranteed until your charter is confirmed. (Prices might vary according to the booking date)

What is the next step? How do I book a charter or a villa?

When you decide and choose your yacht or villa for your holiday, we will put a hold on the boat and send you a contract and invoice with payment instructions. Once you sign the contract, you will have five days to send the first payment.  The payment schedule: 25% at the time you sign contract to book your charter, 25% due 180 days before start date, and 50% due 45 days before start date. Some boats are charging Cruising Permits, Fees, and Taxes to be paid by the Charterer upon entry to Cruising Grounds or Ports for all locations.
